Идея масштабного фотопроекта Пэм Гроссман, директора визуальных трендов агентства Getty Images, под названием Lean in Collection. возникла у Пэм после презентации проекта «Feminism, According to Stock Photography», целью которого являлось показать феминизм глазами стоковых фотографов. Пэм захотела открыто ответить всем создателям стереотипов и явить миру женщин без фотошопа и постановок. Да, женщины правят миром, но их власть проявляется через мудрость, любовь, жизненную силу и веру в лучшее.
